GENERAL ELECTION 4TH JULY 2024

SARAH JANE CARTER

YOUR LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR BRIDLINGTON AND THE WOLDS

Personal Statement

I am from a Social Work background and I am proud to have worked for both the NHS and Local Authority. I have always believed that access to high quality public services can change lives. Following my career on the front line, I have been a representative of UNISON with a track record of standing up for public services, fighting for better pay and conditions for workers and raising awareness of in work poverty.
I am determined to tackle the cost of living crisis and I have been involved in campaigning for universal free school meals for all primary school children. My professional background and current role in the trade union gives me a thorough understanding of the struggles that affect everyday working people.
Rural areas have been failed. I will be here to advocate for communities who are often isolated and lack access to vital funding and services. I would be honoured to represent the people of Bridlington and the Wolds in parliament.
